Integrative medicine is very analytical and holistic. This type of medicine cannot be done in 6 minutes. We make appointments long enough to look at the broadest picture possible. We are a pay-on-the-day, privately billing clinic. Telehealth and Naturopathy sessions are not covered by Medicare or private health funds anymore. We  ask patients to be prepared to pay for their consultations immediately after they are finished. 

New Patients to the clinic

When you contact us for your first consultation, you will be asked to complete a Patient Questionnaire (PQ). Once we receive your completed PQ, Dr Tabrizian will review to decide on the consultation time required.

We will then contact you to book the consultation. At that time, we will ask you to forward any relevant test results, specialist letters, x-ray reports.

Communicating with our integrative medicine practitioners

Our client support is available Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm and manage the administrative needs of our practitioners. Our friendly staff will endeavour to answer your questions quickly and efficiently.

They will convey messages to your practitioner and provide a response where possible.

Repeat scripts and referrals

All repeat scripts and referrals require an appointment with one of our medical practitioners.

Results and Pathology request forms

You need to book a consultation with your GP to discuss your results. If you would like a copy of your results please request these at the time of your appointment. Results can only be released once they have been discussed with one of our integrative medical practitioners. Repeat pathology request forms require an appointment with your GP.

Cancellation Policy

If you cancel or reschedule your consultation within 24 hours of your booked appointment, an administration fee will be charged. Same-day cancellations or non-attendances will incur a charge of the full appointment fee. If you call on the weekend or when the medical clinic is closed and you need to cancel, please ensure that you leave a voicemail or send an email to info@youroptimalhealth.com.au

Payment, Medicare and Private Health Rebates

Your Optimal Health Centre offers both Medicare and Private health rebates for many of our practitioners.

Medicare rebates are generally applicable for Australians for all medical consultations related to illness and disease diagnosis and treatment. Medicare rebates will be available for some consultations.

Telehealth Appointments

Many of our patients come from all over the world and all over Australia. Telephone or Telehealth consultations are available where required. Our team are available for in person consultations where possible. Medicare rebates may not always be available for Telephone and telehealth consults.

The duration of consultations can vary from a few minutes to more than an hour and are billed in increments of 10 minutes.

We use Healthdirect as our telehealth video platform. Payment details must be provided at the time of booking for telehealth consultations.

You will be emailed a link to join our virtual waiting room. Your practitioner will join your consultation when ready.

For phone appointments, please inform our client support that you would like a phone consultation and your preferred contact number. Your practitioner will contact you when ready for your consultation.
