Dr Igor Tabrizian
Integrated GP
Dr Tabrizian was born in London and is a fully qualified and registered medical practitioner (GP) who graduated in 1983 with a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery from the University of Western Australia (UWA).
Dr Tabrizian’s professional work and undergraduate studies have provided him with a variety of experiences prior to specialising in integrative medical care. These include working in hospitals in Australia and abroad for 14 years before venturing into private practice, focussing on general medicine and anaesthetics. His training includes Hospital General Physician Training, Hospital based Anaesthetics and Intensive Care. Dr Tabrizian specialises in complex medical problems that standard general practice would usually refer to a General Physician.
In 1999, he began to specialise in nutritional medicine and has written many articles, books and e-books on the topic, most notable being, “A Visual Textbook of Nutritional Medicine” and “How to Read a 21st Century Hair Analysis” for medical practitioners. He lectures regularly and is involved with mentoring for local and overseas practitioners in the specialty of Nutritional Medicine.
Education continues to be a central element of Dr Tabrizian’s medical practice, both on an academic level and during consultations with his patients. In fact Dr Tabrizian empowers his patients through education, allowing them to fully understand the causation of their illness and the process to be undertaken on their healing journey.
Dr Tabrizian recognises the benefits of working with a team of professional Naturopaths at Your Optimal Health Centre. Whilst Dr Tabrizian delves deep into the drivers and causes of your illness, our Naturopaths develop and oversee your dietary and treatment protocols.
