Our practitioners and clinical services offer treatment for a wide range of illnesses, and also assistance to manage and prevent chronic diseases.

Testing

We have access to thousands of tests including standard NATA, Australia labs and a vast number of functional medicine tests.

These include:

  • DNA testing for wellness
  • Metabolism
  • Microbiome testing
  • Hair tissue mineral analysis
  • Neurotransmitters
  • Organic acid testing
  • Mould mycotoxins

Functional testing is frequently done by reputable laboratories in Australia, New Zealand and USA. These are extra costs borne by the patient and are not included in consultation fees.

Communicating with our integrative medicine practitioners

Our client support is available Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm and manage the administrative needs of our practitioners. Our friendly staff will endeavour to answer your questions quickly and efficiently.

They will convey messages to your practitioner and provide a response where possible.

Repeat scripts and referrals

All repeat scripts and referrals require an appointment with one of our medical practitioners.

Results and Pathology request forms

You need to book a consultation with your GP to discuss your results. If you would like a copy of your results please request these at the time of your appointment. Results can only be released once they have been discussed with one of our integrative medical practitioners. Repeat pathology request forms require an appointment with your GP.

Cancellations & Missed Appointments

Dr Tabrizian’s appointments are in high demand and often booked several months in advance. If you need to cancel or reschedule, please provide at least 48 hours’ notice. Appointments cancelled or changed with less than 48 hours’ notice will incur a fee equal to 50% of the booked consultation time. This helps us offer appointments to other patients who are waiting to be seen.

 

Payment, Medicare and Private Health Rebates

Your Optimal Health Centre offers both Medicare and Private health rebates for many of our practitioners.

Telehealth Appointments

We offer telehealth consultations by phone or secure video for patients who do not live locally. We use the Healthdirect video platform for online consultations.
A permanent link to our telehealth service is available on the Patient Information page of our website (under Patient Information → Telehealth Links) and is also included in your initial intake email.
For video consultations, please join the Healthdirect virtual waiting room via the link provided and your practitioner will connect with you when ready.

For phone consultations, please advise our reception team when booking and confirm your preferred contact number, your practitioner will call you at the scheduled time.
Payment details are required at the time of booking for all telehealth appointments.
